Magical Paths Begging To Be Walked

Roads and paths pervade our literature, poetry, artwork, linguistic expressions and music. Even photographers can’t keep their eyes (and lenses) off of a beautiful road or path, which is why we collected this list of 28 amazing photos of paths.

Paths like these have a powerful grip on the human imagination – they can bring adventure, promise and change or solitude, peace and calm. There’s nothing like a walk down a beautiful path to clear your head – or to fill it with ideas!

I’ll leave you with an excellent quote from J. R. R. Tolkien’s works while you enjoy these images; “It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.

I was wondering what the confusion over Sakura’s “confession” was in this week’s chapter so i checked out both translations on the Mangapanda and Mangastream sites.

And what on earth?  I always knew MS’s version to have questionable translations and lots of liberty-taking, but this was a HUUUGE difference.

Okay first here’s MP’s version, which I trust for accuracy because I’ve compared their translations to the RAWs a few times (back when I was deciding to read on MP or MS) and they were a hell of a lot more accurate than MS.

MP: I… I know there’s nothing much I can do to stop this… But I still loved you!!  I never thought you’d turn out this way!!  I couldn’t be there for you when you needed help…or even stop you from going down that path.  All I could do was just sit here and cry.  It’s disgraceful, really!

But…But, Sasuke-kun!  If I still have a place in that heart of yours, even if it’s just a little…please, don’t go!  If we’re together again…I’m sure we’d be able to go back to those days…

And then we have this version…

MS: The truth is… I’ve always known in my heart, there was nothing I could have done for you.  But I love you…!!  No matter what’s happened, I still care about you more than I can bear…  If I could have taken all your pain…onto myself to comfort you, I would have…and here we are again, and still I can do is sit here and cry.  I’m so pathetic…!

But…Sasuke-kun!  If I still have a place somewhere in your heart, no matter how small it may be…Then please… I’m begging you, don’t slip any further away…!  If we just all stayed together…forever…Then I’m sure…some day…things would go back to the way they used to be…

Do you see what I mean?  In the MS version, doesn’t it seem odd that she would say essentially the same love confession she said the first time she tried to stop him from leaving?  And now, of all times? Is this due to some weird shipping bias issue on the translation team’s part or…???

I dunno.  I wish I had the RAW so I could make a better case over this, but just trust that something is fishy about the MS translation and it’s causing a lot of confusion and undeserved discredit towards Sakura’s character.

Rather than her looking like a nice teammate who’s still looking out for Sasuke and regretting how powerless she was to help him, MS’s translation made her look like the same pathetic, desperate, love-sick (and ANNOYING) girl she used to be, declaring her love and offering to somehow take all his pain or some nonsense…AGAIN.
